| At Ruffled
Phoenix I aim to
breathe new life into unwanted and no longer used items and fabrics.
Some items are perfect just as they are when I receive them, others are
revamped and then resold or used as a base to create eco friendly fancy
dress outfits, pinnies and bags etc. Although stock will constantly vary dependent on fabric availability, you can be sure of generally finding certain items such as cloaks in stock. These have been very well received and used for a variety of purpose from weddings to fancy dress to theatrical performances. As I source recycled or discontinued end of line fabrics, each cloak is unique .
The store which includes both Ruffled Phoenix and Rosie Buggins creations is ebay based but if you
have a particular commission in mind
contact me direct on rose@ruffledphoenix.co.uk
and I will do my best to help you. The latest additions to the store are"previously loved" teddy bears, revamped with stylish new knitwear and outfits from our Rosie Buggins range, and waiting with their own "back story" leaflets to find a cosy home once more. Redressing the bears enables us to utilize the smallest amounts of fabric and wool ensuring minimal wastage. |

I am pleased to be working in collaboration with Helen Ashton of Country Garden Samplers. Drawing inspiration from the Lincolnshire countryside, gardens and superb architecture around her, Helen designs and creates beautiful hand embroidered hanging garden birds, bird and flower hearts and samplers around a rural garden theme. Helen is happy to undertake commission work and examples can be seen on her website. Her work has featured in Country Living Magazine and is currently on display at the March Hare Gallery in Ripon. Her festive section is now open for orders, but as each piece is created individually by hand please do order early. |
| Rosie Buggins is our latest venture. Using remnants, end of lines and recycled wool, the aim is to create evocative vintage styling, with many items such as berets and cardigans inspired by the Land Girls whilst the cloche hats reflect the earlier 1920's and the Flapper era. As with our cloaks although the basic pattern may be the same no 2 items will be identical due to the way in which we source our materials. All Rosie Buggins items are hand knitted in Lincolnshire., including the Teddy Bear's range . | ![]() |
